Macedonia: SGIP campaigns on youth

SGIP, the Union of Construction, Industry and Planning of the Republic of Macedonia (SGIP), has launched a campaign to inform the youth of their working and health and safety rights in companies.

SGIP’s youth section seeks to familiarize the youth and visit workers who are employed in the construction sector but are not members of the union. In this connection, the trade union held various seminars at the State University of Tetovo which gathered numerous students of the civil engineering and building state high school "Zdravko Cvetkovski" in Skopje. The seminars looked into the role of the union regarding informal work of and workers’ rights under labour law and collective agreement.

Blaguna Stojkoska, Secretary of SGIP, Ivan Pesevski, Assistant to the President of SGIP, Miki Lazarevski from AD Kumanovo Kozjak member of the youth section of SGIP, Adrian Slova from Knauf Radika AD Debar, member of the youth section of SGIP and Ivana Dimitrova -Zhurovska, Coordinator of the youth section of SGIP participated in the event.
