In the eve of International Women’s Day, the BWI
launches the 2019 BWI Women’s Calendar featuring women trade union leaders from
around the world to showcase their commitment and dedication in fighting
against gender-based violence in their work place, unions, and communities.
The calendar features twelve women from construction,
wood and forestry trade unions. They are
as follows:

Gail Cartmail, Unite the Union, United Kingdom
Annethe Athanasiadis, SUNTRACS, Panama
Ana Rosdiana Binti Syahrani, UFES, Malaysia
Lejla Ćatić, ITUFWPP, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Dorina Boois, MANWU, Namibia
Vicki O'Leary, Ironworkers, North America
Secil Coban, TARIM ORMAN-IS, Turkey
Kyung Shin Kim, KFCITU, South Korea
Amanda Trajano da Silva Ferreira, SINTRICOM, Brazil
Sana Jandoubi, FGBB GS, Tunisia
All these women have different positions in their unions, but they are united in their strong commitment to eliminate all forms of sexual discrimination and gender-based violence as well as fight for gender equality.
