The Construction Workers’ Union of the Republic of Argentina (UOCRA) is organizing an International Film Festival about work dedicated to promote and give visibility to socio-labor issues. This activity will take place from May 11th to 17th, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The festival, in its IV edition, was summoned by UOCRA Foundation through its TV channel ‘Construir TV’, and has the support of the Ministry of Culture and by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA for its name in Spanish).

Among the programmed activities, UOCRA organized an Opening Gala at the emblematic cultural center and theater Usina del Arte. Due to the agreement with the Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires City, not only the screening of the films in competition will be displayed at Usina del Arte, but also the premiere in Argentina of the award-winning documentary filmmaker Kim Longinotto, in collaboration with the British Council. The same emblematic place will host the Closing Ceremony and the Festival Awards.

A jury of notable personalities from the world of cinema and television will award the films in long and short formats. UOCRA received about 500 films from 47 different countries worldwide.
