BWI at the 2021 World Social Forum
BWI’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, as part of the 2021 World Social Forum (WSF), will hold today a regional webinar.
Titled "Construction and Building Material Women and Young Unionists in Latin America,” the regional online event aims to present the Latin American youth and women workers’ good trade union practices amidst a pandemic.
A panel composed of trade unionists from FEDESOMEC (Ecuador), UOLRA and UOCRA (Argentina) and SUNTRACS (Panama) will lead the discussions.
The WSF is an international open space organised by social movements to deliberate alternatives to neoliberal globalisation. It was founded in 2001 in Porto Alegre, to counter the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The WSF this year started on 23 January and will conclude on 31 January.
