The BWI has released a new magazine with lessons learned from the Global Sports Campaign for Decent Work that was started back in 2007. This number focuses on the campaigns for workers rights before the Russia World Cup and Pyeongchang Olypmics in South Korea in 2018. The campaign seeks to use the opportunities of mega-sports events to realise the rights to organise and bargain collectively on the construction sites; to improve the terms and conditions of work of the construction workers, including fair and regular wages; and to ensure occupational health and safety standards and zero fatal accidents.
