The BWI is saddened to inform about the demise of Sis. Leelamma Ravi on 30th September 2018, Former General Secretary of the Kerala Building Construction Workers Congress (KKNTC) in her home state of Kerala, India.
She was a dynamic and active unionist – she rigorously fought for women workers’ rights during the course of her association with the trade union movement. She also served as the titular member for the BWI Asia-Pacific Regional Women’s Committee and strongly expressed concerns of Indian women workers.
