BWI congratulates the newly elected members of the FSC International board

 

FSC International recently held it elections for new members for the board of directors. The board of directors is composited of 2 members for each sub-chamber and board members are elected for a four-year term. Normally every two years, half of the board members are elected. On Friday 20 September the members of FSC International were informed about the results of the 2019 elections. Read more...

The Civil Servants’ Union of Agriculture, Forestry, Husbandry and Environment Sectors (TARIM ORMAN-IS) conducted a panel titled, “A Liveable World Is Possible” on environment, with support from Union to Union. The participants of the panel, which was held on 7 September 2019 in the province of Canakkale in northwest Turkey, included union leaders and members, academics, and leading environmental activists. The National Union of Mine Workers (NUM) concluded its Special Congress on 3 – 6 September 2019 under the theme of “Power of Unity.” The Congress took place at the International Center of Durban and was attended by eight hundred delegates as well as local and international guests. BWI, a global union federation, that has been spearheading the fight for labour and human rights in mega-sporting events, is holding a conference entitled “Sports Campaigning in the 2020’s: Setting Strategies and Identifying Opportunities” from 18-19 September at the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Haus 1 located Hiroshimastraße 17 in Berlin, Germany.
