More than 700 delegates march on the eve of BWI 4th World Congress

More than 700 delegates participated in a solidarity march from the Congress venue that concluded at the Moses Mabhida Stadium where they were welcomed by the local Mayor. Unions and workers' representatives paid tribute to the workers who built the stadium during the FIFA World Cup in 2010.

The impressive march with beautiful union flags and banners from around the world was led by South Africa trade unionists and the youth who walked to mark unions’ struggle in organising workers during the World Cup.

The BWI Presidium and key leaders of the International joined the unionists raising slogans of solidarity and calling for workers’ rights.
