American women workers express optimism over US election results

 



Women trade union leaders from North America and Europe held an online meeting on 12 November and expressed optimism that the results of the United States elections will bring positive results in the campaign for gender equality and the elimination of violence against women.

“Gender-based Violence is being considered a “second pandemic” in the region.” This was the statement issued by Fabiana Santos, President of BWI’s Regional Women’s Committee (RWC) in the Latin America and Caribbean region.
