Within the BWI Project for South East Europe, the Autonomous Trade Union of Road Maintenance Workers of Serbia has organised training during 2015 for licenses for professional work on occupational health and safety. This training was organised in cooperation with the Directorate for health and safety and for improving and better monitoring health and safety conditions at the workplace.
The training was followed by trade union activists and members of the occupational health and safety Boards in companies. On 19 March 2016 the eight hour exam for licenses for professional work on OSH took place at the Directorate for OSH and 14 representatives of the union took the exam (3 were prevented due to health issues and professional obligations at work). The exam was general and also included a special part.
Out of 14 candidates 8 successfully completed the exam, while 5 did not pass the special part of the exam and one failed at the general part of the exam. The candidates who failed at the special part of the exam will have one more opportunity to pass.
Autonomous Trade Union of Road Maintenance Workers of Serbia will continue this activity in 2016.
