I live in a working-class neighbourhood with my husband, two daughters and a granddaughter. I get up at 5:30 every day, get Rolando ready for school, pick up a few mates with my husband, and head for work.


The work at the site isn’t easy; it takes a lot out of you. Luckily, I'm not alone; I have my men and women colleagues, who have elected me to take care of them and to look out for what they need. But my day doesn’t end there, there’s always something left to do. Besides being a worker, I am a mother, grandmother and wife; to be a woman is to be a fighter, protector and companion ...
