The Building and Wood Workers' International (BWI) offers its deepest condolences to the family and comrades of South Korean trade unionist Yang Hoe-dong. Yang reportedly set himself on fire on 1 May, International Labour Day, to protest the government's harassment of trade unionists in the country.
