Eliéser Córdoba: Your legacy will live on!

It is with great sadness that we receive the news of the death of Eliéser Córdoba, a young activist defender of workers' rights. Eliéser headed the Chair of the First Regional Youth Committee of the Building and Wood Workers' International in Latin America and the Caribbean. His leadership was crucial in the creation of this body and its work in the defence of young workers' rights. He was also an active member of the BWI International Youth Committee and an important activist in the Single Union of Construction and Similar Industries of Panama (SUNTRACS). He was the voice of BWI's young workers, amplifying their concerns and demands in many youth campaigns and actions.

His passion and commitment to social justice is admirable and will continue to inspire those who fight for a fairer world. We express our mourning, and send our solidarity to Eliéser's family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.

May Eliéser Córdoba be remembered as a tireless and inspiring leader whose activism in defense of workers' rights in Latin America and the Caribbean left an indelible mark. His kindness and solidarity will be remembered with affection by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

In his memory, we renew our commitment to the cause that he loved so dearly, keeping his legacy for justice and equality alive.

He will always be in our hearts and thoughts. Long live, Eliéser!
