BWI and EFBWW release health and safety pamphlet

On the occasion of this year’s International Workers’ Memorial Day, the Building and Woodworkers International (BWI) and the European Federation of Building and Woodworkers (EFBWW) released an educational pamphlet to promote occupational health and safety among trade unionists and workers.

The handout, which is translated into different languages, is part of BWI and EFBWW’s campaign to push for the recognition of workplace health and safety as a fundamental right of all workers. It covers the workers' right to know about safety hazards and health risks at workplaces, the right to participate in the deliberations of safety measures, the right to refuse unsafe work and the right to proper personal protective equipment (PPE). It also reminds workers to always include a gender-responsive approach in promoting workplace health and safety.
