Tomorrow, 4 September, on the eve of International Amazon Day, we will launch the Decent Work Programme for the Amazon and present our agenda of proposals for COP30.

The Amazon faces a dual crisis: environmental and social. As the destruction of the rainforest progresses, local communities and workers live in precarious conditions with high rates of informality and low wages, creating a vicious cycle of exploitation and degradation. The preservation of the rainforest cannot be separated from human dignity.
